Home/Free Grid Audit
Free, and there is no call attached
Send us your practice name and address. We will map where you actually appear at points across your catchment, show you which competitor owns the squares you are losing, and send it back. No call required to receive it.
Request My Grid→Or call (703) 389-5362 and read it out.
"We rank third" is not a fact. It is an average of a hundred different answers.
Ask most practices where they rank and you get a single number, taken from a tool that checked once, from one location, probably not yours.
There is no single position in local search. Google answers the same query differently depending on where the person standing there is. You might sit second from your own front door, fourth from a mile north, and nowhere at all in the neighbourhood two miles south that you would happily treat.
A grid measures it properly: the same search, run from many points laid out across your catchment, so you can see the actual shape of your visibility instead of one flattering average.
Your position at each point across your catchment for the search that matters most to you. Colour coded, so the pattern is obvious in about four seconds.
Named. Usually two or three practices, and usually not the ones an owner expects. Frequently the most uncomfortable part.
Proximity, categories, review volume and recency, listing consistency. Which of those is holding you back is normally visible from the grid itself.
In order, with the reasoning. Including the parts you can do yourself this month without hiring anybody.
Usually back within two business days. If your market is unusually dense it can take longer, and we will say so rather than send you something thin.
Two reasons, and neither of them is generosity.
The first is that it is the most persuasive thing we own. We could write another page telling you we understand local search. Showing you your own map, with your competitors named on it, does the job in four seconds and cannot really be argued with. We would rather demonstrate the work than describe it.
The second is that it disqualifies people, quickly and honestly. Some grids come back healthy. If yours does, we will tell you that, and you will have saved yourself a call and us an hour. That happens more often than you would think, and we would rather it happened before an invoice than after one.
The thing that makes this worth asking for is that we are willing to send you a picture that might say you do not need us.
Worth stating plainly, because "free audit" usually means something else.
If that seems like a strange way to run a lead magnet, it is. The guides on this site are ungated for the same reason. Work that only produces enquiries when it is held hostage was probably not worth much.
Three patterns account for most of what we send back.
The most common by far. You rank well where you already are and vanish across the parts of your catchment you would happily serve. Proximity is doing all the work and nothing else is.
Infuriating, and fixable. Review volume and recency carry real weight, and the practice ahead of you is usually not better, just more systematic about asking.
It happens. In which case your problem is somewhere else: what happens when the phone rings, or what your website does with the people who already find you. Both are covered here, and neither requires us.
Practice name, practice address, and the one service you most want to be found for. That is the whole request.
Request My Grid→Prefer to talk it through instead? Book a call. Prefer to understand the work first? This is how local search runs, and if you are in our own market, here is what we already know about it.
